CSC makes Latin American move
Computer Sciences Corp. has purchased a Brazilian IT company to build its presence in Latin America.
Computer Sciences Corp. is buying a Brazilian IT services firm, VIXIA Consultoria e Tecnologia Ltda., of Sao Paulo, CSC announced.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. This is the second CSC acquisition in Brazil since 2009 and is part of a strategy to increase its Latin American presence, the company said.
VIXIA serves the financial services market, and the acquisition will help CSC both locally in Brazil and internationally, the company said.
CSC is ranked No. 11 on the 2011 Washington Top 100 list of the largest government contractors.
