ATS builds software solutions for government pension agency

ATS Corp. will continue its software development work for the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation under new indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract with a $30 million ceiling.
The work will assist the PBGC’s Office of Information Technology oversee the Benefit Management Applications (BMA) suite of solutions for its core business division, the Benefit Administration Payment Department, which manages beneficiary information and disbursement of pension benefits exceeding $440 million each month to more than 750,000 people, a June 23 ATS announcement explained.
This multiple year, single-award contract, which begins this month, represents the continuation of ATS’ software development, maintenance and operational services to PBGC's Office of Information Technology, the announcement.
The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation is a government agency led by a director appointed by the president and confirmed by the Senate. The PBGC board of directors consists of the secretaries of Labor, Commerce and Treasury, and chaired by the secretary of Labor, according to the agency website.
