QinetiQ NA selects recent hire as SVP of engineering unit
QinetiQ North America has named David Shrum senior vice president and general manager of its engineering and life-cycle management business unit. In this new role, he will be responsible for revenue and profit generation, customer satisfaction, and employee health and welfare for the Huntsville, Ala., business unit.
QinetiQ North America has named David Shrum senior vice president and general manager of its engineering and life-cycle management business unit. In this new role, he will be responsible for revenue and profit generation, customer satisfaction, and employee health and welfare for the Huntsville, Ala., business unit.
Shrum joined QinetiQ North America in March 2011 to lead the business development efforts in Huntsville, having come from Camber Corp., where he was vice president and division manager of modeling simulation and training.
Previously he spent five years as the vice president of land forces at Northrop Grumman's electronics sector in charge of domestic and international business, strategic planning and program execution.
Additionally, Shrum spent more than 20 years at Lockheed Martin Corp. in a variety of roles, but most notably as the electro-optics fire control program director. Prior to that, he spent 10 years with Sikorsky Aircraft.
Shrum has a MBA from the University of New Haven and a bachelor's degree from the University of Connecticut. He is a member of the Association of the United States Army, the American Helicopter Society and the Army Aviation Association of America.
