Citizant Inc. will continue to provide cloud technology services to the General Services Administration under a recently awarded three-year contract worth $3.9 million.
In 2008, Citizant conducted a concept trial of a cloud-based CRM system for GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service’s Office of Custom Accounts and Research (CAR), whose role is to facilitate the understanding of customer requirements.
Citizant and its partner, Acumen Solutions, developed Phase I of a Salesforce.com system for CAR, which includes data discovery, standardization and conversion. The Phase I Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system has already been used by FAS employees in a dozen major cities, according to a Citizant announcement.
“Citizant’s previous CRM contract laid a solid foundation for this program’s implementation. Our next challenge is to accelerate system customization and rollout against the GSA’s other important business goals,” said Paul Bize, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Citizant, in the announcement.
The new award calls for continued customization and deployment of an enterprisewide and cloud-based CRM system.
Under the new contract, Citizant will help expand CRM solutions throughout GSA. The company also will focus on faster executions, superior system flexibility, integration with other enterprise systems and stricter adherence to business requirements, according to a Citizant announcement.
In March the Chantilly, Va., provider of full life-cycle IT solutions to the federal government was named to the $1 billion Justice Department IT Support Services IV contract that replaces ITSS III, which is set to expire by Sept. 30, 2011.
