Cisco cloud buy expands its services
Cisco intends to buy software provider NewScale.
Cisco revealed today its plans to acquire NewScale, a privately-held cloud services software provider, in order to build up its options for customer-led cloud management and automation, reports CRN.
While financial details of the buy were not released, Cisco said the deal should be completed by the second half of its fiscal 2011.
NewScale, a San Mateo, Calif.-based company was founded in 1999 and has more than 2 million users worldwide, the article states.
