Acquisition of Innovative Solutions International brings consulting and engineering capabilities related to satellite communications.
Pragmatics Inc. of McLean, Va., closed its acquisition this week of Innovative Solutions International, an engineering and consulting company.
Known as ISI, the company specializes in aviation-related satellite technologies, including planning, modernizing and implementing communications, navigation, surveillance and air traffic management systems for government, commercial and international customers, Pragmatics said in a statement.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Pragmatics picks up 75 employees and customers at the Defense Department, Federal Aviation Administration, Honeywell, NEC and Federal Express.
The acquisition enhances Pragmatics’ program management and engineering services capabilities. The company also adds development skills for new technologies for satellite-based communications, navigation and surveillance.
"ISI meets our strict acquisition criteria and brings a team of highly skilled experts and thought leaders in satellite and aviation technologies to Pragmatics,” said Long Nguyen, Pragmatics CEO. “The acquisition broadens both our customer base and service offerings, which are key components of our continued growth.”
