ManTech expands with C4ISR purchase
ManTech International Corp. is acquiring MTCSC Inc., a Chula Vista, Calif., provider of C4ISR systems integration services, primarily to the Marine Corps.
ManTech International Corp. is acquiring MTCSC Inc., a provider of command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems integration, cybersecurity and network engineering solutions to federal customers.
ManTech said it intends to fund the $75 million acquisition from existing cash balances.
The company holds several large contracts with the Marine Corps, the majority of which are for classified projects, according to a ManTech announcement.
Located in Chula Vista, Calif., with a major presence in Stafford, Va., MTCSC expects to produce approximately $83 million in revenue in 2010, ManTech said.
When the transaction is completed by the end of the year, MTCSC will become a part of ManTech’s Systems Engineering and Advanced Technology group.
“The Marine Corps and C4ISR will continue to get priority funding,” ManTech Chairman and Chief Executive Officer George Pedersen said in the announcement. “This acquisition fits well with ManTech’s long-term strategy of focusing on high-end defense and intelligence technology support.”
ManTech International, of Fairfax, Va., ranks No. 31 on Washington Technology’s 2010 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
