Rapper wakes up Gov 2.0 crowd at FedTalks event
D.C.-based CIOs now can claim their own original rap lyrics thanks to comedian GoRemy.
Comedian/rapper GoRemy performed for the crowd at the FedScoop FedTalks 2010 government information technology event on Oct. 12 with an original rap song about chief information officers in Washington.
GoRemy appeared on behalf of the DC Represents cybersecurity public awareness campaign sponsored by Intel Corp.
Here, thanks to Nigel Ballard, are partial lyrics:
I work in IT, yeah
I’m a G, I know
Working in DC
As a CIO
I’m the head of a gang
But not the kind that murders
They call me Maitre’ D
‘Cuz I’m in charge of the servers
Bid on my proposal?
Don’t make me laugh out loud
You must be from an arid climate--
Ain’t you never heard of cloud?
Want to stop me?
That’s some serious news
Since I’ve been ruling the net
Since it was a series of tubes
Try to test my hardware
My security won’t be beat
‘Cuz I just got a billion dollars
To go build a drone that tweets
A master of the game
You know how it be
The only reason I’m engaged?
I put out an RFP!
