Kendall leads finalists for 2010 contractor of the year awards

Clifford Kendall was a founding father of government contractors and will be inducted into the industry's hall of fame; others will be recognized as contractor or executive of the year.

Clifford Kendall, founder of one of the government market’s first systems integrators, leads a pack of 35 companies and executives named as finalists in the 8th annual Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards program.

The program recognizes innovation, dedication and commitment to the government market by individuals and companies. The winners will be announced at a gala dinner on Nov. 3 at the Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner, Va.

The awards are presented in partnership by the Fairfax County, Va., Chamber of Commerce’s Greater Washington GovCon Council, the Professional Services Council and Washington Technology.

Awards will be presented to contractors at four revenue levels, to executives at three revenue levels and to public sector partners whose achievements have been judged as exceptionally distinguished.

Kendall, the founder of Computer Data Systems Inc., is being induced into the Greater Washington Government Contractor Hall of Fame in recognition of his professional excellence, consistent track record of growth and success, and his history of extraordinary personal contributions to his community, company and industry.
