McDonnell names ATS’ Fuchs to Global Strategies Council

ATS Corp. Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Sidney Fuchs has been named to the Global Strategies Council of the Southern Growth Policies Board by Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell.

The council serves as an advocate for all aspects of international economic development for 13 member states across the South, according to a statement ATSC released today.

Its mission is to help the citizens, businesses and communities of the South become globally engaged and competitive.

The council guides the policies board’s research and initiatives on issues ranging from trade, investment, immigration, transportation and education to building relationships between the states and overseas markets.

Fuchs was named COO at ATSC in March, after serving as president and chief executive officer of OAO Technology Solutions, which was sold to Platinum Equity in January 2010. Prior to OAO, Fuchs was president of Northrop Grumman Information Technology’s Civilian Agencies Group.
