GSA names chief financial officer
Alison Doone, currently the Internal Revenue Service's CFO, will assume the same position with the General Services Adminsistration.
Alison Doone will be the General Services Administration’s new chief financial officer, GSA Administrator Martha Johnson announced on Aug. 25 in an internal memo. Doone will start Sept. 26.
Doone is the current CFO of the Internal Revenue Service, where she oversees the financial management and accounting operations for a $12 billion budget and $2.3 trillion in tax revenue, according to Johnson. During her 20 years in the federal government, Doone also has been the CFO for the Federal Election Commission and deputy assistant administrator of the Office of Finance at the Drug Enforcement Agency.
GSA's former CFO, Kathleen Turco, became associate administrator of GSA’s Office of Governmentwide Policy in April.
