ACT/IAC wants nominations for leadership awards
The deadline is Aug. 30 for nominations for awards that honor executives who work with government information technology.
Do you know someone who has done particularly great work in government information technology in the past year? If so, the American Council for Technology/Industry Advisory Council wants to hear from you.
ACT/IAC is taking nominations for its annual awards that honor people from government and industry who have made a significant contribution to the organization in work that involves government IT. The awards will be presented during an awards ceremony at the Executive Leadership Conference in Williamsburg, Va., on Oct. 26.
ACT/IAC is a nonprofit, public/private partnership that seeks to improve government by applying IT. ACT membership is open to full-time federal, state and local government employees. IAC membership is open to any company that’s interested in the government IT market.
The group said the awards will include:
- The Janice K. Mendenhall Spirit of Leadership Award for an executive in government or industry who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and made a continuing contribution to government IT.
- The Individual Contributor of the Year award for a government employee who has made a significant contribution to ACT/IAC in the past year.
- The Individual Contributor of the Year award for a member of IAC who has made a significant contribution to ACT/IAC in the past year.
- The Rookie of the Year award for someone new to IAC — part of the organization for less than two years — who has made a significant contribution to the achievement of the organization’s goals and objectives.
Nomination forms must be received by ACT/IAC no later than 5:00 p.m. (EDT) on Aug. 30.
