SAIC to strengthen Air Force communications security

Science Applications International Corp. will provide software support to the Air Force under a four-year task order valued at more than $19 million.

Science Applications International Corp. will provide software support to the Air Force under a four-year task order valued at more than $19 million.

The task order requires SAIC to develop and enhance electronic key management system software products related to communications security encryption, according to a company announcement released today.

The task order from the General Services Administration Greater Southwest Region was awarded under GSA’s Alliant governmentwide acquisition contract.

The work will be performed primarily in San Diego.

SAIC, of McLean, Va., ranks No. 5 on Washington Technology’s 2010 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
