A-T Solutions adds retired admiral to steer business unit

A-T Solutions Inc. has named retired Coast Guard Vice Adm. David Pekoske executive vice president. He will be responsible for developing and managing the company’s international maritime and port security business unit.

A-T Solutions Inc. has named retired Coast Guard Vice Adm. David Pekoske executive vice president.

He will be responsible for developing and managing A-T Solutions’ expanding international maritime and port security business unit, according to a company statement released today.

Pekoske, who more than 33 years of experience in operations, strategic planning, program analysis and budget development, was the Coast Guard’s second in command, chief operating officer and component acquisition executive.

Before becoming vice commandant, he served as commander of the Coast Guard’s Pacific Area and Coast Guard Defense Forces West.

As commander of the Pacific Area, Pekoske oversaw maritime safety and mobility, homeland security and national defense operations.

In December 2009, A-T Solutions shuffled its executive team.

Ken Falke stepped down as CEO to become the company’s chairman of the board and chief operating officer. Dennis Kelly was promoted to president and CEO. In addition to Falke and Kelly, several other executives were assigned new positions.

A-T Solutions, of Fredricksburg, Va., is a government provider of intelligence and anti-terrorism professional services. The company was acquired by CoVant in February 2008.
