SAIC to help Navy develop key information systems

Science Applications International Corp. will furnish technical and engineering support services to the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific (SSC Pacific) under a contract with a potential value of $63 million.

Under the contract, SAIC will provide support for a variety of security, surveillance and unmanned systems being developed SSC Pacific, company officials said March 29.  

Specifically, SAIC will furnish algorithm development, material analysis, data processing, prototype fabrication and limited production, and program management services, the officials said.

The five-year, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract has three extension years. SAIC will perform the work in San Diego.

SSC Pacific develops technologies and capabilities for the Navy and joint services that manage information essential to successful military operations.
