Raytheon to support Army air traffic management

Raytheon Co. will provide equipment, services and support for air traffic navigation to the Army under a $5.9 million contract.

Under the firm-fixed-price contract, Raytheon will furnish integration and coordination system hardware, sustainment support, and spares and engineering services, the Defense Department said Jan. 26.

The company will perform the work in Marlborough, Mass. The work is expected to be completed by December 2011, the officials said.

The Army Contracting Aviation and Missile Contracting Center is the contracting activity.

Raytheon, of Waltham, Mass., ranks No. 5 on Washington Technology’s 2009 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
