Dynamics Research provides management assistance to DLA
Dynamics Research Corp. will provide Lean Six Sigma management assistance to the Defense Logistics Agency under a five-year contract with an estimated value of $4.2 million.
Dynamics Research Corp. will provide management assistance to the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) under a five-year contract that has an estimated value of $4.2 million.
Under the terms of the contract, DRC will provide Lean Six Sigma (LSS) methodology support to the DLA headquarters at Fort Belvoir, Va.
By providing LSS support, DRC will help to facilitate and aid the development and deployment of the principles of Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) across the DLA, according to a DRC announcement.
Full implementation of a CPI infrastructure will result in better efficiency, effectiveness and flexibility of the agency’s logistical and technological services.
“DRC will provide the methodologies, tools and expertise to implement business improvement practices, ensuring the Department of Defense and other agencies are receiving the best combat logistics support possible,” said Jim Regan, DRC chairman and chief executive officer, in the announcement.
The Andover, Mass., company supports a variety of Defense Department and federal agencies with theory of constraints, LSS and other business transformation methodologies.
