Acquisition Solutions builds consulting skills with ICOR buy

Acquisition Solutions Inc., a provider or procurement advisory services to the federal government, has purchased substantially all of the assets of ICOR Partners LLC., a company that provides strategy and business improvement consulting to the government.

The financial terms were not reported. The transaction closed Jan. 8 and was announced today.

With the purchase of the Arlington, Va., company, ASI has formed a new business unit specializing in management solutions, according to a company announcement today.

Founded in 2002, ICOR primarily supports civilian government clients. The firm has expertise in information technology enterprise architecture and governance, business transformation, performance and portfolio management, the ASI announcement said.

The veteran-owned private company is an 8(a) certified small business by the Small Business Administration.

Since its founding, ICOR has experienced a compound annual growth rate of more than 70 percent, according to the company's Web site.

“ICOR perfectly complements our expertise in acquisition, program management and knowledge management, and shares our commitment to avoiding the conflicts of interest faced by some firms,” said Anne Reed, ASI's president and chief executive officer.

ASI supports not just procurement, but the holistic range of disciplines in the acquisition cycle, including systems engineering and architecture, mission and business planning, and program management, Reed said.

“ICOR brings us deep capabilities in all three of these areas,” she added.

She said ICOR’s employees will join ASI to offer public sector clients a broader range of services and solutions.
