STG lands Army award for information assurance services
STG Inc. will deliver information assurance services to the Army under a two-year, $39 million contract.

Under the terms of the award, STG will provide IA support to several customers of the Army Information Systems Engineering Command (USAISEC), Information Assurance Systems Engineering Directorate (IASED).
USAISEC provides systems engineering, installation, integration, implementation and evaluation support for communications and information technology systems worldwide.
The company's customers include program executive offices, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Energy and of Homeland Security departments, and other Defense Department or federal agencies.
STG will perform IA engineering, discovery and certification inspections. The company also will conduct research, engineering and network testing of servers and platforms to determine security engineering solutions.
STG’s laboratory will provide in-house staff member training using lessons obtained from IASED and other DOD sources to familiarize the contractor’s staff with IASED processes and policies.
STG, of Reston, Va., ranks No. 94 on Washington Technology’s 2009 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
