Stanley opens Web portal work for Marine Corps

Stanley Inc. will provide Web portal technical services to the Marine Corps under a five-year contract valued at $12.4 million if all four option years are exercised.

The firm, fixed-price award calls for Stanley to provide technical services to support and maintain the Total Information Gateway for Enterprise Resources (TIGER) Web portal program.

Under the contract, Stanley will provide information technology services such as program and project management, Web application enhancement and database administration, company officials said in a statement today. Other services covered are quality assurance, control and configuration management and technical analyst and service desk support, the officials said.  

The contractor also will provide ongoing technical support and management oversight of TIGER sustainment and enhancement efforts.

TIGER is an enterprise information system that joins numerous information sources to provide an integrated family of Web-based applications, company officials said.  

The work will take place at Marine Corps facilities in Dumfries and Quantico, Va.

Stanley will provide the mechanism to support systems research and development and acquisition programs for the Marine Air-Ground Task Force expeditionary operations, which is at the forefront of this work, said Amy Ygbuhay, a Stanley vice president.

Stanley has supported the Marine Corps since 1989 and currently holds more than 18 contracts involving corps systems engineering, according to the statement.

Stanley, of Arlington, Va., ranks No. 45 on Washington Technology’s 2009 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
