Two awards vault Catapult into new federal agencies

Catapult Technology Ltd. has won program management support contracts from the Environmental Protection Agency and the National Science Foundation that have a combined value of $5.1 million.

Under a $1.6 million award, Catapult will assist EPA’s Office of Grants and Debarment transition to a new governmentwide grants management system.

The system, known as the Grants Management Line of Business, is a multi-agency program sponsored by the Office of Management and Budget. It is designed to standardize processes to increase service to citizens, company officials said.

The new system also will save grant-making agencies money through the use of shared IT infrastructure, reduce the number of redundant grants management systems and improve reporting on government-wide grant activities and results.

Catapult will provide project management and technical expertise to EPA during the analysis, development, implementation, testing, and training phases of the project.

Services will include planning, reviewing, monitoring and evaluating the cost, schedule and performance of the program.

In addition, Catapult will coordinate the activities of other vendors involved.

The Bethesda, Md., contractor also will assist NSF's Division of Information Services under a three-year, $3.5 million contract.

The service-disabled veteran-owned information technology contractor will provide systems engineering and technical assistance, as well as capital planning and investment control services to the division’s Program Management Office staff to help them make strategic decisions about IT investments and planning.

The contracts expand Catapult’s federal government footprint, as they’re both new agencies on the company's client roster, said Randy Slager, founder and chief executive officer of Catapult.
