Managed hosting provider ServerVault has been acquired by Carpathia Hosting Inc., a provider of managed hosting services for enterprises and federal agencies. Financial terms of the transaction were not released.

The acquisition comes 15 months after Spire Capital acquired Carpathia Hosting.

With the acquisition of ServerVault, Carpathia Hosting will add a suite of services aimed at providing the most secure, compliant co-location, managed services and cloud services, which will be available immediately to current Carpathia Hosting customers, company officials said.

The acquisition of ServerVault also adds a new data center in Northern Virginia. Called “the Vault,” the data center is one of the most secure facilities in the country. The purchase also accelerates the significant organic growth Carpathia has experienced over the past several years, the officials said.

"We are further solidifying our position in the hosting industry, providing secure, reliable and compliant information technology infrastructure and management for some of the world’s most demanding enterprises and federal agencies," said Peter Weber, Carpathia Hosting’s chief executive, in announcing the acquisition.

"This purchase brings together two strong companies with complementary strengths and common values [that] share a deep commitment to technological innovation and customer satisfaction," Weber said. "Together, we will offer our customers an even wider range of services and products, including access to one of the most secure data centers in the U.S. -- a national data center footprint -- an expanded services portfolio, a strong partner universe, and a significantly expanded customer base including new system integrator relationships."
