Find opportunities — and win them.

ManTech International Corp. will provide program assistance to the Defense Intelligence Agency under a three-year contract worth $11 million.

ManTech International Corp. will support a collaborative electronic workspace for the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) under a three-year contract worth $11 million.

The follow-on award calls for ManTech and its team of Jive Software, NavStar and Science Applications International Corp. to continue its work with DIA’s Analytic Space program, known as A-Space. The common, collaborative workspace for intelligence community analysts was developed by ManTech under a previous government contract.

A-Space is a Director of National Intelligence and DIA initiative to give analysts secure access to large and diverse amounts of text, graphics, imagery and video intelligence spanning multiple classifications, ManTech officials said.

The application helps analysts connect faster, easier and more efficiently to data and to each other. A-Space allows analysts to maintain situational awareness, consolidate relevant data and analytic notes on topics of interests, and share their insights and intuitions in a trusted environment.

The application, which is similar to Web 2.0 social networking programs, has more than 10,000 users in the intelligence community (IC), the officials said.

“A-Space is significantly improving the quality and timeliness of analysis through access to relevant data and collaboration across the IC and DOD,” said Larry Prior, president and chief operating officer at ManTech International.

ManTech, of Fairfax, Va., ranks No. 48 on Washington Technology’s 2009 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
