Dynamics Research Corp. will help the Air Force improve satellite security under a three-year task order valued at $3.4 million.

The award calls for DRC to support the Air Force Global Cyberspace Integration Center by providing engineering services and program management support to the Air Combat Command Tactical Satellite Terminals and the Single Integrated Air Picture program.

This task order is the Waltham, Mass., company’s first award under the Defense Department’s indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity Logistics, Maintenance and Supply Support (LMSS) contract.

DRC was one of six prime contractors awarded the LMSS contract in May 2008 to provide life-cycle management services across DOD, company officials said.

Awarded through the Army’s Program Executive Office for Enterprise Information Systems, the five-year LMSS contract has a ceiling value for all contractors of $268 million.
