SAIC boosts C4ISR services to Defense Department
SAIC will provide prime command and control solutions to the Defense Department under a five-year contract valued at more than $196 million.
Science Applications International Corp. will supply command and control solutions to the Defense Department under a five-year contract that could be worth more than $196 million.
The award from the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic calls for SAIC to supply the DOD and other unnamed federal agencies with engineering and technical support services for the development, testing and evaluation, and life cycle support of command, control, communications, computer, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems and related equipment.
SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic provides systems engineering and integration, configuration management, quality assurance, logistics, training, and test and evaluation in support of federal and DOD C4ISR requirements.
The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract has a one-year base period and four one-year options.
The work will be performed in Charleston, S.C., and Lexington Park, Md., by SAIC’s wholly owned subsidiary Eagan, McAllister Associates Inc.
SAIC and EMA have been prime contractors for SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic for 10 years, according to Debbie James, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager.
SAIC, of San Diego, ranks No. 7 on Washington Technology’s 2009 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
