Booz Allen wins pair of Air Force contracts

Booz Allen Hamilton will support Air Force cybersecurity and intelligence initiatives under a pair of contracts awarded this week worth a total of $22.6 million.

Under a $16.4 million contract, Booz Allen will provide information security services to the Defense Logistics Agency, the Defense Department announced July 13. The agreement covers enterprise security and calls for support of information technology services that improve awareness of emerging cyber threats and network intrusions.

Under a $6.2 million contract, Booz Allen will provide services and support to the Air Force Space Command’s Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Directorate, DOD announced July 15. The scope of work covers IT services to enhance the survivability of space intelligence and threat assessments.

The contracting activity for both contracts is the 55th Contracting Squadron at Offutt Air Force Base, Neb.

Booz Allen, of McLean, Va., ranks No. 10 on Washington Technology’s 2009 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
