General Dynamics Information Technology has won a five-year, $20 million contract to provide the Army with program management and IT services.
General Dynamics Information Technology has won a five-year, $20 million contract to provide the Army with a full complement of program management and information technology services.
The award calls for General Dynamics IT to provide the services for a suite of installation-management automated systems in support of the Army’s Program Executive Office-Enterprise Information Systems, Installation Management Systems – Army Project Office at Fort Belvoir, Va.
The services include programmatic and technical engineering management support to the Project Office for planning and executing the development, deployment, training and life cycle sustainment of hardware and software applications that support Army and Marine Corps warfighters, company officials said.
Additionally, GD IT will provide expert technical support for database design and enhancement, configuration management, and verification and validation of updated software packages for the Army Installation’s and Combatant Commanders’ global strategic initiatives.
General Dynamics IT is a business unit of General Dynamics Corp., of Falls Church, Va., which ranks No. 4 on Washington Technology’s 2009 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
