A-T Solutions acquires intelligence business
A-T Solutions' acquisition of Accelligence broadens its national security offerings.
A-T Solutions Inc. has acquired Accelligence LLC in a deal that bolsters its ability to offer a broad range of services to the national security community.
The acquisition is A-T’s first since it was acquired by CoVant Technologies LLC, a private equity platform for buying companies in the government market. CoVant is led by Joseph Kampf, former president and chief executive officer of Anteon International Corp., which he sold to General Dynamics in 2006. CoVant is backed by CI Capital Partners.
A-T Solutions, of Fredericksburg, Va., provides counterterrorism solutions, such as analytical and training services focused on detecting and defeating improvised explosive devices and weapons of mass destruction. Accelligence specializes in operational, technical, analytical, instructional and commercial operations support for intelligence agencies.
“We are very excited to embark on this new partnership,” said Ken Falke, A-T Solutions’ CEO, in a statement. “By combining the experience, expertise and capabilities of A-T Solutions and Accelligence, each company is now better positioned to provide the highest levels of mission-critical support and to offer the full continuum of global security offerings to our customers.”
Danielle Saunders, Accelligence’s president, said the acquisition represents a growth opportunity for both companies. Accelligence, of Vienna, Va., will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of A-T Solutions.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed. Aronson Capital Partners served as the adviser to Accelligence.
