Powers-King named GSA acting assistant commissioner

Mary Powers-King has been appointed acting deputy assistant commissioner for Integrated Technology Services (ITS) at the General Services Administration, GSA said today.

Powers-King is also the director for governmentwide acquisition contracts and Information Technology Schedule 70 programs at ITS.

John Johnson, the retiring assistant commissioner of the Federal Acquisition Service at ITS, announced the change late on April 28 in a memo to staff.

Johnson will retire May 2, and Ed O’Hare, currently FAS’ chief information officer, will assume the assistant commissioner role.
