SRA captures DOD logistics work

SRA International Inc. will provide policy development, program management and other strategic planning services to the U.S. Transportation Command.

The work is part of a $13.3 million task order that could be worth $48 million over five years. The task is a recompete of a support contract SRA previously won, the company said.

Through the contract, SRA will support the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Defense Department’s joint staff, combatant commands, the military services and DOD agencies. Work will include policy and standards development, program management, implementation and strategic planning for DOD’s distribution processes.

The work will include the USTRANSCOM’s worldwide automatic identification technology backbone, which captures data to track deploying forces, equipment, personnel and sustainment supplies, SRA said.

SRA is ranked No. 32 on Washington Technology’s Top 100 list of the largest government contractors.
