ManTech taps Addeo to lead Defense Systems Group

ManTech International Corp. has named Louis Addeo president of its Defense Systems Group, the company’s largest business unit.

The Defense Systems Group provides worldwide, mission-critical technology services and solutions to the Defense Department.

Addeo replaces retired Army Maj. Gen. Dave Bryan, who will become ManTech’s corporate executive vice president for strategic planning and represent the company at key customer and industry meetings.

In 2007, Addeo was named chief operating officer at Serco North America, where he was responsible for overseeing the company’s human capital management, logistics and engineering, transportation, and program management businesses.

Before that, he spent 30 years at AT&T, where he was involved in information technology services, homeland security and federal contracting. As president of AT&T Government Solutions from 2003 to 2006, he led a growth program that generated a contract pipeline of more than $1 billion and brought in revenue of more than $1.6 billion, including major contract wins at civilian, defense and intelligence agencies.

Previously, as vice president of AT&T’s National Information Systems, Addeo directed a broad offering of professional services, managed services and in-depth intelligence capabilities for federal agencies and departments that included the White House, the State and Homeland Security departments, and the intelligence community.

Addeo has served on the boards of the USO, AFCEA International and the Northern Virginia Technology Council and on the executive committee of the Security Affairs Support Association. He was one of 14 members of the federal Acquisition Advisory Panel chosen to review governmentwide contracting practices.
