SRA continues support for EPA outreach program

SRA International Inc. will continue providing public information management assistance to the Environmental Protection Agency under a five-year blanket purchase agreement that could be worth as much as $42 million.

The re-competed BPA calls for SRA and its four partners to support EPA’s Climate Protection Partnerships Division (CPPD), which oversees a voluntary program to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and promote energy efficiency in products, homes and buildings.

SRA will continue helping EPA transition to new business intelligence and other information technology tools that will expand the agency’s solutions, data, network and stakeholders. The work will enable EPA to reach an even broader business and consumer community, said Peter Trick, SRA’s vice president of environmental and organizational services.

The tools SRA has designed, along with the CPPD Web site, provide diverse solutions that address a very broad national audience. They also assist CPPD with the information management structure the organization needs to track voluntary partnerships and collect the information that is disseminated to the public, SRA officials said.

SRA is teaming with four companies on the BPA: ICF Inc. will define, document and translate programmatic requirements, as well as provide business intelligence and statistics and data management support; List Innovative Solutions Inc. will assist with testing, configuration management and requirements management support; Lokion Interactive LLC will provide user-centered design, information architecture, multimedia design, accessibility analysis and other web-related support; and Vistronix Inc. will supply customer and help desk support services.

SRA has worked with EPA since 2001, supporting CPPD’s mission to reduce greenhouse gases by merging its program with IT solutions to engage the public, Trick said.
