Koniag captures Social Security IT work
Alaska Native Corporation wins $100 million contract to provide a broad range of IT support to SSA.
Koniag Services Inc. has won a $100 million contract to provide information technology support to the Social Security Administration.
Working with G&B Solutions Inc., a subsidiary of VSE Corp., Koniag will support SSA’s Office of Telecommunications and Systems Operations.
The contract follows other work Koniag, an Alaska Native Corporation, does for SSA such as providing assistive technologies, said Steven J. Letts, Koniag’s president and chief executive officer.
Koniag and G&B will support hardware and software installation and configuration, local area network management, facilities, communications,programming, computer operations, project planning, help desk, storage management, data center, and network engineering.
Most of the work under the five-year task order contract will be done at the National Computer Center in Baltimore and at the Durham Support Center in Durham, N.C. Work also will be done at SSA headquarters and other sites.
