Unisys captures DISA logistics, financials work
Unisys wins award to provide DISA with several IT services.
Unisys Corp. will provide the Defense Information Systems Agency with information technology services for systems that support Defense Department functions, including logistics and financials, under a new contract worth as much as $15 million.
Unisys will provide systems management, system software administration, information assurance security, data replication support, database administration, service-desk support and Unix systems administration.
The IT services will support the Defense Logistics Agency, the Defense Finance and Accounting Service, and the Air Force, among others.
DISA and the Defense IT Contracting Organization awarded the contract for the work at the Systems Management Center in Ogden, Utah. The award is a re-compete of a contract Unisys has held since 1992.
The new contract has one base year and four one-year options.
The Ogden Systems Management Center provides centralized information system processing services to a diverse and geographically dispersed community of users.
The task order was awarded to Unisys under DISA’s $12.2 billion Encore II contract. Unisys was one of the 26 vendors DISA selected earlier this year to compete for task orders under the contract.
Unisys, of Blue Bell, Pa., ranks No. 26 on Washington Technology’s 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
