Six to upgrade DOD management processes

Six companies have won indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contracts from the Defense Department to improve management processes and thought leadership. The prime contracts have a combined total value of $260 million.

BearingPoint Inc., Booz Allen Hamilton Inc., IBM Corp., CACI International Inc., Deloitte LLP and Logistics Management Institute, a not-for-profit strategic consultancy, were awarded the five-year contracts by the DOD Business Transformation Agency’s Cross Agency Support Services to improve thought leadership and change management services.

BTA’s mission is to guide the transformation of business operations throughout DOD and deliver enterprise-level capabilities that meet warfighter needs.

In support of this mission, BTA is seeking thought leadership and change management services that include studies and analysis of strategic business process, systems and data, CACI officials said in a company news release.

BTA is also seeking support for investment management and organizational design; strategic and tactical planning for the agency’s business enterprise priorities in personnel visibility, acquisition visibility, supply chain, real property and financial visibility, and change management and training, they added.

Among other contract projects, BearingPoint will provide thought leadership and change management services using Lean Six Sigma and other methodologies, company officials said. The services could range from strategic planning and analysis, to governance and organizational design, to increased financial visibility, streamlining of supply chain, and broad training initiatives.

LMI will provide consulting services in personnel, acquisition, supply chain, real property and financial management.
