Air Force Space Command seeks applications support

The Air Force Space Command wants information from contractors on their ability to furnish scientific and technical services associated with real-time notification of atmospheric and space nuclear detonations.

In a sources-sought notice published Dec. 16, the command said the Air Force Technical Applications Center needs help developing and maintaining current and future versions of applications and utility programs that reside on the local-area network for atmosphere and space programs. The work is essential to monitor requirements set forth in the nuclear test ban treaty.

Interested contractors should have the skills and expertise to integrate data into the LAN database from various satellite, sensor and ground data-processing systems.

The command is tentatively planning a one-year, cost-type contract that would have four one-year options. Interested companies should submit a package that outlines their capabilities in providing the required services.

The 45th Space Wing at Patrick Air Force Base, Fla., issued the notice. Responses are due by Dec. 31.
