SRA wins Defense agency network deal

SRA International Inc. will continue refining communications networks at the Pentagon Force Protection Agency under a new contract worth up to $56 million over five years.

Under the contract, SRA, of Fairfax, Va., will furnish information technology and network services to the PFPA's Life Security Safety Network, company officials said this week.

The contract calls for SRA to continue systems and network integration and to expand the LSSN, a single unified network within the agency. SRA also will supply tools and processes that fully integrate help desk, infrastructure, architecture, information assurance and management tasks.

The PFPA is a civilian agency within the Defense Department that is responsible for safeguarding Pentagon employees and infrastructure.

SRA ranks No. 32 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
