CACI to support Air Force medical logistics

The Air Force tapped CACI International Inc. to support its automated information system for medical logistics and facilities management and maintenance for military personnel worldwide.

Under the five-year, $25 million contract, CACI of Arlington, Va., will furnish services to the logistics system's facility management module. The contractor will provide onsite support for Air Force medical facilities within the United States and overseas.

The company also will deliver help-desk services in an effort to assist medical facilities to resolve the questions and problems they encounter. Medical facility drawings also will get a facelift from the company's computer-aided design solutions.

To ensure standardization of all materials entered into the medical facilities management system, CACI officials will conduct transition training at Air Force medical facilities.

CACI, which has about 10,200 employees and had annual revenue of $1.7 billion in fiscal 2006, ranks No. 13 on Washington Technology's 2006 Top 100 list of the largest federal IT contractors.
