SRA closes Raba deal

SRA International Inc. has completed its acquisition of Raba Technologies LLC, a technical services provider to intelligence agencies.

Based in Columbia, Md., Raba is a privately owned company that does systems integration and operations support work for the national security and intelligence community. It specializes in software development and IT engineering. It has about 200 workers and posted revenue of $60 million during the last 12 months.

Terms of the deal, announced earlier this month, were not disclosed.

This is SRA's first acquisition of 2006, following three deals in 2005.

SRA of Fairfax, Va., provides IT services and solutions to federal government agencies. It employs approximately 4,900 workers and had revenue of almost $1.2 billion for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2006. The company is No. 19 on Washington Technology's 2006 Top 100 list of the largest federal IT contractors.
