Santa Clara, Calif., re-ups ACS for outsourced IT
Affiliated Computer Services Inc. won a one-year contract extension from Santa Clara, Calif., to continue to manage the manage the city's IT operations and furnish associated services.
Affiliated Computer Services Inc. won a one-year, $4.1 million contract extension from Santa Clara, Calif.
Under the contract, ACS of Dallas will continue to manage the city's IT operations and furnish associated services, including data center management, help desk and applications support, and network management and desktop support.
In addition, ACS will provide consulting services to assist the city in efforts to align its IT operations with business objectives.
Situated in Silicon Valley, Santa Clara has a population of more than 100,000.
ACS has more than 55,000 employees and had annual sales of $4.3 billion in fiscal 2005. The company ranks No. 48 on Washington Technology's 2006 Top 100 list of the largest federal IT contractors.
