Defense orders advanced GPS tools from Rockwell Collins
Rockwell Collins Inc. won a $7.8 million contract modification for the purchase of 3,614 defense advanced GPS receivers and accessories.
Rockwell Collins Inc. won a $7.8 million contract modification for the purchase of 3,614 defense advanced GPS receivers and accessories.
The receivers will provide the Defense Department with a precise positioning system that is handheld, dual frequency, lightweight and incorporates the next generation, tamper-resistant GPS selective-availability anti-spoofing module.
The defense advanced GPS receiver is a replacement for the precision lightweight GPS receiver in integrated platforms as well as for advanced and basic GPS systems.
Rockwell Collins is in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
