ICF Consulting acquires human services consulting firm

ICF Consulting Group Inc. has acquired local consulting services firm Caliber Associates, a provider of IT consulting services to the federal government.

ICF Consulting Group Inc. has acquired local consulting services firm Caliber Associates, a provider of IT consulting services to the federal government, the company said today. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition enhances Washington-based ICF Consulting's IT and human capital service offerings for the Defense, Education, Health and Human Services and Justice departments, the company said.

Caliber Associates of Fairfax, Va., specializes in providing full life-cycle program consulting and support in research and evaluation, communications, training and technical assistance, and IT in the areas of human services and human resources. The company employs more than 300 workers and has annual revenue of $40 million.

Jerry Croan, Caliber's president and co-founder, and Sharon Bishop, vice president and co-founder, will continue to manage the Caliber business within ICF Consulting.

Legg Mason Wood Walker Inc. of Baltimore was ICF Consulting's financial advisor for the transaction. BB&T Capital Markets/Windsor Group of Richmond, Va., was Caliber's financial advisor.

ICF Consulting is a management, technology and policy consulting firm with government, commercial and multinational institutions clients. The company has more than 1,500 employees.
