The Alabama Department of Education wants a vendor to provide distance learning technology for a new initiative: Alabama Connecting Classrooms, Educators and Students Statewide. The program seeks to extend advanced and specialized classes to areas of the state where the local school districts cannot support diverse class offerings. An RFP is expected in July.Washtenaw County, Mich., wants a vendor to provide an integrated, enterprise resource planning system to older solutions. The vendor will offer remote user access via Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0, applications that incorporate a widely used relational database and a completely Web-enabled system. An RFP is expected in June.Peoria, Ariz., wants a vendor to provide an automated asset management and permitting system. The solution should offer a comprehensive system for asset inventory, work order management, permitting, code compliance, citizen requests and land management. The solution should allow for information sharing across departments and improved internal and external customer service. An RFP is expected in June.The Colorado State Purchasing Office wants a vendor to manage its statewide software reseller price agreements. The vendor will market, manage and report on the program to the state and to each software publisher. The vendor will be responsible for identifying and contacting eligible entities, enrolling them in the program, educating each entity in rights and responsibilities of the licensing agreement, maintaining customer databases and software publisher requirements, and handling invoices and collecting sales related to software licenses under the agreement.
