ISA names Sharp its new president

Edward Sharp was promoted to president and chief operating officer of information technology services firm Integrated Systems Analysts Inc., the company said yesterday.

Sharp was previously the Arlington, Va., company's executive vice president, directing its operations, acquisition, business planning and development, and sales and marketing activities. He has worked for ISA since 1990 and helped lead its transition from a federal defense systems engineering company to a full-service computer systems services firm in both the federal and commercial sectors.

Sharp holds a master's degree in engineering science and bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from George Washington University.

With Sharp's promotion, C. Michael Gooden, ISA's chairman, president and chief executive, has dropped the president title.

ISA is a privately owned company with 650 employees. Its federal clients include the Air Force and Navy. ISA also performs work for the Michigan State Police. The company does not publicly disclose its annual revenue.
