CACI's Ken Johnson will retire

Ken Johnson, president of U.S. operations at CACI International Inc., will retire Nov. 1 to spend more time with his family, the company announced today.

Chief Executive Officer Jack London will serve as acting president until a replacement is selected.

"Ken has done much to shape the future of CACI's U.S. operations," London said in a statement. "We wish him all the best for the future."

Johnson joined CACI five years ago from Federal Sources Inc., a research firm in McLean, Va. He will consult for CACI through at least the middle of next year.

Last month, CACI announced that company revenue increased 36 percent over fiscal 2003 to $1.15 billion. It expects fiscal 2005 revenue to top $1.5 billion. CACI's fiscal year ends in June.

CACI has been scrutinized in recent months after an Army report concluded that CACI contractors either took part in or did not report the abuse of Iraqi prisoners at the Abu Ghraib detention center. The fact that CACI even had contractors at Abu Ghraib caused a stir when it was discovered the Defense Department had hired CACI through an IT contract at the Interior Department.

With 2003 prime IT revenues of $507 million, Arlington, Va.-based CACI ranked No. 17 on Washington Technology's 2004 Top 100 list.
