Diebold makes a deal for Antar-Com
Diebold Inc. has acquired Antar-Com Inc., an electronic security systems integrator.
Integrated security and self-service delivery systems provider Diebold Inc. has acquired Antar-Com Inc., an electronic security systems integrator, for an undisclosed amount, the company said today.
Antar-Com of White Plains, N.Y., provides engineered security solutions for commercial, government and retail markets. The company employs nearly 100 people and had 2003 revenue of around $27 million, according to Diebold.
"This strategic acquisition allows us to broaden our product and service offerings," said Eric Evans, Diebold's president and chief operating officer. "The addition of Antar-Com will enhance Diebold's proven hardware and software capabilities by providing total integrated security solutions for our customers."
In June, Diebold acquired TFE Technology Holdings LLC, a Bountiful, Utah, third-party maintenance provider of network and hardware service solutions to federal and state government agencies and commercial firms.
Based in North Canton, Ohio, Diebold employs more than 13,000 workers worldwide and had 2003 revenue of $2.1 billion.
