CSC wins $146M Army Transportation Information Systems contract
Computer Sciences Corp. won a contract to provide information processing and related services to the PM Transportation Information Systems program.
Computer Sciences Corp. won a contract to provide systems integration, information processing and related services to the U.S. Army's PM Transportation Information Systems program, officials of the El Segundo, Calif., company announced today.
The contract, which is for one year with five one-year options, is worth about $146 million, according to CSC.
The Transportation Information Systems program is responsible for multiple deployment and transportation information systems. The program is responsible for four major systems: Transportation Coordinator's Automated Information for Movement II, the Army's Automated Airload Planning System, the Transportation Coordinator Automated Command and Control Information System and the Transportation Information Systems ? Theater Operations.
TC-AIMS II is the largest of the four systems and will incorporate the functionality of the other three when it is fully developed and fielded.
CSC's contract consolidates and expands the work the company and its teammates previously performed for the Army's Automated Airload Planning System and TC-AIMS II.
Under the contract, CSC will continue developing TC-AIMS II; integrate the Army's transportation information systems into a single management system; and provide personnel and services for the Transportation Information Systems integration support program.
According to CSC, its support includes local area network implementation, configuration management, software and hardware maintenance, network and enterprise systems management, and integration, help desk, disaster recovery, software development, training and other support services.
Subcontractors to CSC include Anteon International Corp. of Fairfax, Va., SRA International Inc. of Fairfax, Va., Binary Consulting Inc. of Bethesda, Md., A&T Systems Inc. of Raleigh, N.C., BBN Technologies of Arlington, Va., and Software ADE Inc. of Vienna, Va.
CSC has about 90,000 employees and for the 12 months ended April 2, reported revenue of $14.8 billion.
