CSC, Veridian Team on Fed Digital Forensics Work

Computer Sciences Corp. of El Segundo, Calif., and Veridian Inc. of Arlington, Va., have entered into a teaming agreement to expand their offerings in the federal digital forensics market, the companies announced July 30.


The agreement creates an industry-leading capability in the fight against cybercrime, the companies said. Under the agreement, CSC and Veridian will jointly offer computer and digital forensics services to their federal customers and collaborate on similar future opportunities.


CSC's credentials in computer forensics and expertise in forensics training complement Veridian's forensics casework and the need for more trained forensics professionals as caseloads increase, said Phil Lacombe, president of Veridian's information and infrastructure protection sector.


Earlier this year, CSC launched a global information security services unit to meet increasing demand for enterprise-scale, risk-management solutions and services. More than 600 CSC information security experts support clients in Europe, North America, Australia, Africa and Asia. Their services include consulting, architecture and integration, evaluation and assessment, training, deployment and operations.


Veridian, a private information technology solutions company, has 5,000 employees and $650 million in annual revenue. CSC, a public IT services firm, has 68,000 employees and $10.5 billion in annual revenue.
