CACI Wins $16.9 Million Navy C4I Deal

SEPT. 7 ? CACI International Inc. won a five-year, $16.9 million contract to support a variety of Navy, Joint Services and national Command, Control, Communications, Computer and Intelligence systems for the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center in San Diego, the company announced Sept. 6.


C4I systems are designed to support field commanders across a range of military operations, including collecting data, performing missions and supporting humanitarian relief and disaster aid operations.


CACI will focus on ensuring the quality of C4I products before they are fielded, and provide software support for the systems. CACI software offers early error detection and correction to ensure performance requirements.


With the award, CACI will broaden its test and evaluation engineering of the systems, and provide independent verification and validation services, software quality assurance and configuration management and support.


"Our early and unbiased detection of any design and implementation defects, together with our distinctive expertise in establishing effective software engineering processes, will enable prompt and economical correction, saving the government time and money and reducing project risk," said Ken Johnson, president of CACI.
