In first deal, JHNA expands its Navy presence

Veteran-owned JHNA has acquired Technology Security Associates to bring more Navy work into the fold.

JHNA, a veteran-owned firm has acquired a Maryland-headquartered company that brings more Navy work into the fold.

Terms of the deal for Technology Security Associates were not disclosed. The company is based in California, Maryland, near its largest customer at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.

TSA provides the Navy with cybersecurity, anti-tampering and platform security services among others.

Alexandria-Virginia-headquartered JHNA said the transaction nearly doubles its size.

"Through the combination of JHNA and TSA, we will provide our customers with robust end-to-end digital engineering solutions by ensuring that that our customers' engineering efforts and most critical platforms are secure,” JHNA CEO Ian Northrop said.

This is first acquisition by JHNA, a company that was founded by John Northrop in 2001. The company is pursuing more acquisitions, executives said said.

"We believe our digital engineering expertise is needed now more than ever, and we want to offer our customers the best possible solution,” Ian Northrop said.

The acquisition gives JHNA a presence with the Navy to go along with its Army and other Defense Department customers. Like JHNA, TSA also is a veteran-owned business.
